Our Vision

As a Christian family, together, we realise our God-given ability to change the world.

Our vision is highly aspirational for our children and community. Within this short statement hides the huge work we need to do together to ensure our children have the confidence, knowledge and skills to go into the world and make a positive difference.

Our Christian family is everyone involved in the school as we are all intrinsically linked. We need each other and our Lord to work towards everyone flourishing.

Romans (12:5) says:

‘so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. So it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another.’

We believe that everyone has been given a gift from God founded on Ephesians (4:4-9) that says:

‘There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism; there is one God and Father of all people, who is Lord of all, works through all, and is in all. Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given.’

Our vision is rooted upon the story of the Good Samaritan which can be found in Luke (10: 25-37). Our school values of Faith, Friendship, Respect, Responsibility and Love are rooted in this passage and emanate through all aspects of school life. As the Samaritan started out on his journey that day, he already had those values deeply instilled within him. Where others failed to help, he chose to help a person in great need using the skills, knowledge, understanding and courage he had to make a positive difference.

Our values, vision and ethos are reflected in the actions of every member of our community. The difference we make is realised through the recognition of our individual skills and abilities that are encouraged and nurtured together; we are empowering each other to contribute to God’s world in any positive way possible to flourish in His love.

‘Leaders support pupils to become active and responsible citizens who are keen to help others. Pupils develop an understanding of their own locality and the wider world. They develop respect for people’s differences. Pupils are well prepared for life in modern Britain.’
