Worship
Collective worship
Worship is an integral part of school life, taking place every day. Each week, worship is led by senior staff or our clergy, Rev. Paul Bentley and Rev. Debbie Wilkinson, from Christ the King. Our Ethos group also contribute worship and children are active in leading prayers.
Worship in class
Our class worship is led by our teachers and children in class. We include moments of reflection and stillness which support our well-being. Our Christian family is enhanced as we engage in discussions and reflections together. We always strive to think about how we can contribute and improve our school and community.
Our worship liturgy
Worship Leader: As a Christian family, together, we take out a candle and light it to remind us that . . .
ALL: God’s love burns brightly for each one of us.
Worship Leader: We take out the cross and place it at the centre of the table to remind us that . . .
ALL: Jesus is at the heart of our school.
Worship Leader: We take out the Bible and open it to remind us that . . .
ALL: God speaks to us through His word.
Worship Leader: The Lord is Here . . .
ALL: His Spirit is with us.
‘Collective worship is inspiring and all members of the community actively engage with this special time of the school day. The singing is uplifting and pupils demonstrate impressive biblical knowledge.’
