Pupil premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated to ‘pupils who are recorded as eligible for free school meals’ and ‘children previously looked after by a local authority or other state care.’ (Guidance - Pupil premium: overview, updated 30 September 2024. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pupil-premium/pupil-premium).
We adopt the EEF’s ‘three-tiered’ approach where this funding is given to support high-quality teaching, targeted academic support and wider strategies. Please read the ‘Pupil Premium Tiered Approach’ and ‘Pupil Premium Statement’ below for further information detailing how the funds are allocated.
It is important that parents and carers apply to register their child for the pupil premium funding available to schools. If parents and carers do not apply, the school will not be able to receive this funding which could go towards equipment, resources, trips and so on.
