Realising our God-given ability to change the world

The Big Sing & our choir

Every year, we join with other Church of England Schools on the Wirral. We focus on spirituality and gathering together to raise of voices to God. Each school performs a song.

In 2023, we sang, ‘True Colours,’ to celebrate the beauty, spirit and inner strength in each one of us.

Our choir are passionate about sharing their love by raising their voices. They inspire our community and beyond to rejoice together with faith and kindness.

The Greatest Showman

In Summer 2024, our pupils across Key Stage 2 were lead by our Year 6 class to perform the Greatest Showman - and perform they did! The awe-inspiring performances fast became the talk of the town, so much so that we had an article written about us in the Wirral Globe! The pride, comradery, and sheer enjoyment experienced by the pupils and the audience overflowed with every performance and was a memory we will all cherish for many years to come.

Ecology

Our Eco team work hard to continually think of ways they can raise awareness and positively contribute to our environment. They help to maintain our pond, building birdhouses, tend to the bug-hotel, grow vegetables and plant flowers around our school. The passion and drive our eco-team have is shared and acted upon across the school

In July 2022, we took part in the Clean Air Day project. Our pupils created posters shared their work in assembly to educate one another children on the benefits of having clean air. We then went on to win a competition to create a banner raising awareness about the importance of cleaner air. The banner featured slogans such as 'Don't let our future go up in smoke' and 'Go green, breathe clean'. It won £250 for our school which contributed to more resources for the eco-projects, plants for the garden and books on climate change.

'Pupils enjoy the many leadership roles available to them. These include being librarians, being play leaders and being members of the ethos team and school council. They recognise the difference their work in these areas makes. For example, they are proud of the development of a school pond, which has been created to attract wildlife to the school grounds. Pupils benefit from strong links with the local church and community. They take part in local litter picks and raise money for charities.'
